This Acknowledgment applies when a user uploads or otherwise provides documents or files to LinkEdu.AI (the "Platform"). It supplements the LinkEdu.AI Terms of Service and Privacy Policy and explains how documents may be processed as part of student, university, application, matching, verification, and related Platform workflows.
1. Before You Upload
By uploading or providing a document, you confirm that you own the document or are authorized to provide it to LinkEdu and to have it stored, processed, and used for the Platform functions you request or authorize.
You must not upload documents unlawfully obtained from another person, documents you are not authorized to disclose, or material that infringes intellectual-property, privacy, confidentiality, contractual, or other rights.
Upload only information reasonably necessary for the relevant educational, application, recruitment, verification, or Platform workflow.
2. Automated and AI-Assisted Processing
Uploaded documents may be stored, scanned, parsed, classified, converted, extracted, summarized, compared, indexed, checked, or otherwise processed using automated systems and AI-assisted tools.
Depending on the feature and workflow, processing may support profile completion, academic-data extraction, matching, application preparation, document organization, verification assistance, university workflows, summaries, support, fraud or abuse detection, and related Platform functionality.
LinkEdu may use third-party infrastructure and AI/service providers to perform authorized processing as described in the Privacy Policy. LinkEdu seeks to limit processing to information reasonably necessary for the relevant Platform function.
3. Review of Extracted Information
Automated and AI-assisted extraction can be inaccurate, incomplete, or affected by document quality, formatting, language, handwriting, scans, images, or other factors.
Where the Platform presents extracted information for confirmation or review, you are responsible for checking material information before confirming it, relying on it, or submitting it to a university or other recipient.
LinkEdu may provide validation, confidence indicators, warnings, or other controls, but these do not replace appropriate user or institutional review.
4. Sensitive and Unnecessary Information
Academic, identity, immigration, financial, and other documents can contain sensitive personal information.
Do not upload unnecessary government identification numbers, financial-account credentials, payment-card details, medical or health information, biometric information, passwords, authentication codes, or other highly sensitive information unless the Platform expressly requests the information for a legitimate feature and provides an appropriate notice or workflow.
Where practical, users should redact information that is not required for the intended purpose before uploading a document.
5. Sharing and Access
Uploaded documents are not intended to be broadly public. Access depends on the applicable workflow, user permissions, privacy settings, and Platform functionality.
Documents or information extracted from them may be made available to an authorized university or institutional user when the student requests, authorizes, or initiates a workflow that requires such sharing, including an application or other permitted educational process.
Documents may also be processed by authorized service providers acting on LinkEdu's behalf as described in the Privacy Policy. LinkEdu does not authorize service providers to use documents for unrelated purposes.
Once a document or information has been lawfully transmitted to a university or another independent recipient at the user's direction, that recipient may retain or process its copy under its own legal obligations, policies, and retention requirements.
6. University and Institutional Uploads
A university or institutional user uploading documents or data must have appropriate authority and a lawful basis to provide the material to LinkEdu and must comply with applicable privacy, education, employment, confidentiality, and records-management requirements.
Institutional users must not upload student or third-party information merely because it is technically possible to do so. Access and uploads should be limited to legitimate authorized educational or Platform purposes.
7. Retention and Account Deletion
Document retention follows the LinkEdu.AI Privacy Policy, applicable workflow requirements, legal obligations, security needs, and legitimate records-management requirements.
When an eligible account deletion is confirmed, the account generally enters a 30-day recovery period before applicable personal information and documents are purged or anonymized, subject to lawful retention requirements, security records, dispute or fraud prevention, and normal backup rotation.
Deletion from LinkEdu does not necessarily delete copies previously and lawfully received by a university or other independent recipient. Users may need to contact that recipient directly regarding its copy.
If the Platform provides per-document deletion, deletion may be subject to similar legal, security, workflow, backup, or downstream-recipient limitations.
8. Security
LinkEdu applies administrative, technical, and operational safeguards intended to protect uploaded documents and restrict unauthorized access. These safeguards may include access controls, private storage, authentication, logging, monitoring, encryption provided by infrastructure services, and automated security controls.
No online service or storage system can guarantee absolute security. Users are responsible for protecting their account credentials and should promptly report suspected unauthorized access to admin@linkedu.ai.
9. No Authenticity or Acceptance Guarantee
Automated extraction, classification, validation, fraud checks, or other document-processing features do not guarantee that a document is authentic, complete, accurate, current, legally valid, or acceptable to a university, government authority, or other recipient.
LinkEdu does not make admissions or institutional verification decisions. Universities and other recipients remain responsible for their own document verification, admissions, compliance, and acceptance procedures.
A document being successfully uploaded or processed by LinkEdu does not mean that it has been verified or accepted by a university.
10. Prohibited Documents and Misuse
Users must not knowingly upload forged, fraudulent, malicious, infringing, unlawfully obtained, or materially deceptive documents. Users must not upload malware or files intended to disrupt, compromise, manipulate, or bypass Platform security or AI/document-processing systems.
LinkEdu may restrict, quarantine, remove, preserve, or investigate files where reasonably necessary for security, fraud prevention, legal compliance, or enforcement of the Terms of Service or Acceptable Use Policy.
11. Relationship to Privacy Policy and Terms
The LinkEdu.AI Privacy Policy describes LinkEdu's broader collection, use, disclosure, retention, security, international-processing, and user-rights practices. The Terms of Service and Acceptable Use Policy establish additional responsibilities and restrictions.
If this Acknowledgment conflicts with the Privacy Policy or Terms of Service, the applicable Privacy Policy or Terms of Service controls unless applicable law requires otherwise.
12. Changes to This Acknowledgment
LinkEdu may update this Acknowledgment to reflect changes in document-processing functionality, AI systems, service providers, privacy practices, security controls, or legal requirements.
Material changes will be communicated where required by applicable law. Previous versions may be retained as part of LinkEdu's versioned legal and consent records.
