This University Subscription and Billing Policy ("Billing Policy") governs university and institutional subscription plans purchased through LinkEdu.AI. It forms part of the LinkEdu.AI Terms of Service. If there is a conflict between this Billing Policy and information displayed at checkout for a particular purchase, the checkout terms for that purchase control to the extent of the conflict, except where applicable law requires otherwise.
1. Scope
This Billing Policy applies only to universities and other eligible institutional subscribers. LinkEdu.AI is an AI-powered, self-service software-as-a-service platform. University subscription charges are fees for access to Platform software, automation, recruitment tools, analytics, messaging, workflows, and related SaaS functionality.
Students use LinkEdu.AI free of charge. LinkEdu does not charge students subscription fees, application-placement fees, enrollment commissions, success fees, or fees to unlock student Platform features. LinkEdu does not offer paid admissions-agency or recruitment-agency plans under its current business model.
2. University Plans and Pricing
LinkEdu currently offers the following university plans:
- Free - USD 0.
- Growth - USD 199 per month or USD 1,990 per year.
- Pro - USD 499 per month or USD 4,990 per year.
Current plan features, usage limits, billing periods, and prices are displayed on the Platform and at checkout. LinkEdu may introduce successor plans or modify future plan structures in accordance with Section 13 of this Billing Policy.
Unless expressly stated otherwise, prices are quoted in U.S. dollars and exclude applicable taxes. LinkEdu does not use geographic pricing bands under the current business model and does not currently offer a standard free-trial period for paid university plans.
3. No Enrollment Commission or Outcome-Based Fee
University subscription charges are SaaS fees. They are not commissions or success fees tied to student enrollment, tuition, admission, placement, scholarship awards, or any other educational outcome.
Payment for a subscription does not purchase guaranteed student leads, applications, admissions, enrollments, response rates, preferential matching treatment, or recruitment results.
4. Subscription Purchase and Payment Authorization
Paid subscriptions are purchased through LinkEdu.AI checkout or another authorized LinkEdu billing workflow. By purchasing a paid subscription, the subscriber authorizes LinkEdu and its payment processor to charge the payment method provided for the amount and billing interval disclosed at checkout, including recurring charges until the subscription is canceled or otherwise ends.
Before purchase, LinkEdu will present the applicable plan, price, billing frequency, recurring nature of the subscription, and available cancellation method. The checkout confirmation, receipt, invoice, billing portal, or similar electronic record may serve as the subscriber's retainable acknowledgment of the transaction and subscription terms.
5. Billing Cycles and Automatic Renewal
Growth and Pro subscriptions may be billed monthly or annually. Unless canceled, a paid subscription renews automatically at the end of each billing period using the payment method on file.
LinkEdu will provide renewal notices or reminders when required by applicable law or a specific contractual commitment. Subscribers remain responsible for maintaining accurate billing contact information and reviewing their subscription status and renewal date through the available billing tools.
6. Founding Partner Program
LinkEdu may offer a limited Founding Partner program to the first ten qualifying university institutions approved by LinkEdu. Unless the applicable written offer states otherwise, the program applies only to eligible Growth or Pro subscriptions and provides a 50% discount from the otherwise applicable subscription price while the qualifying subscription remains continuously active.
Founding Partner eligibility is subject to LinkEdu's program rules, including founder approval and any institution-identity or email-domain requirements presented for the offer. The benefit is non-transferable unless LinkEdu agrees otherwise in writing.
If a qualifying subscription is canceled, LinkEdu may allow the institution to restore the Founding Partner benefit if it reactivates within 90 days after cancellation. After that period, restoration is at LinkEdu's discretion. The Founding Partner benefit is not an unconditional lifetime, perpetual, vested, or transferable right.
The promotion shown at checkout and any written Founding Partner offer accepted by the institution control the specific discount applied to that subscription.
7. Upgrades
A subscriber may upgrade an eligible paid plan through the available billing controls. An upgrade may take effect immediately. Stripe or LinkEdu may calculate and charge a prorated amount for the remainder of the current billing period, as displayed in the billing workflow. Future renewals will use the price and billing interval applicable to the upgraded plan, subject to any valid promotion.
8. Downgrades
A requested downgrade ordinarily takes effect at the end of the current billing period. Until then, the subscriber retains the features of the current paid plan. When the downgrade becomes effective, feature access and usage limits change to those of the new plan.
A downgrade does not ordinarily generate a refund or credit for unused features or the remaining portion of a billing period unless required by law or expressly approved by LinkEdu.
9. Cancellation and Reactivation
Subscribers may cancel a paid subscription through the available self-service billing mechanism. Unless otherwise stated at the time of cancellation, cancellation takes effect at the end of the current paid billing period. Paid features remain available through that date.
After the paid subscription ends, the institution may revert to the then-available Free plan, subject to account, data-retention, security, and usage rules. Cancellation of a paid subscription does not by itself delete the institutional account or its data.
Where applicable law requires a particular cancellation method, notice, or ease-of-cancellation standard, LinkEdu will provide the required mechanism. A subscriber may reactivate an eligible subscription through available billing controls, subject to current pricing and promotion eligibility.
10. Refunds
Refunds are not automatic. Except where required by applicable law or expressly approved by LinkEdu, subscription fees are non-refundable and LinkEdu does not provide prorated refunds for unused portions of a billing period, unused features, downgrades, or a subscriber's decision to stop using the Platform.
A refund does not, by itself, cancel a subscription. A subscriber that does not want future renewal charges must separately cancel the subscription through the available cancellation mechanism unless LinkEdu expressly confirms that cancellation has also been processed.
Suspected billing errors should be reported promptly to admin@linkedu.ai. LinkEdu may review refund or billing-adjustment requests on a case-by-case basis.
11. Failed Payments and Billing Status
If a payment fails, Stripe or LinkEdu may retry the charge, request updated payment information, or notify the subscriber of the failure. Subject to applicable law and the subscription state reported by Stripe, LinkEdu may restrict paid functionality, cancel paid access, or revert the institution to the Free plan if payment remains unresolved.
Subscription entitlements are determined from trusted server-side billing and subscription state rather than solely from a browser redirect or checkout-success screen.
12. Taxes
Prices are exclusive of applicable sales, use, value-added, withholding, or similar taxes unless expressly stated otherwise. Where LinkEdu is legally required to collect and remit tax, the applicable amount may be calculated and charged at checkout or invoiced separately. The subscriber remains responsible for taxes it is legally required to pay directly.
13. Changes to Plans, Prices, or Billing Terms
LinkEdu may change future plan features, usage limits, prices, or billing structures. Material changes affecting an existing paid subscription will be communicated before they take effect where required by applicable law, these Terms, or a separate written agreement.
A price change for an existing subscription will ordinarily apply no earlier than a subsequent renewal after any required notice. Subscribers will be given information about how to cancel before the affected renewal where required.
14. Payment Processor
Payments are processed by Stripe or a successor payment processor disclosed by LinkEdu. LinkEdu does not store full payment-card numbers on its own servers. Stripe's terms, privacy practices, fraud controls, and payment-processing requirements may apply to its processing of payment information.
15. Automated Billing Administration
LinkEdu is designed as an automation-first SaaS platform. Routine billing operations - including checkout, subscription status synchronization, entitlement updates, invoices or receipts, payment-failure handling, plan changes, cancellation processing, and related notifications - may be performed automatically through LinkEdu and Stripe systems.
Billing or account exceptions that cannot be resolved through self-service or automated workflows may be escalated for administrative review. Automated administration does not change the subscriber's contractual rights or LinkEdu's obligations under applicable law.
16. No Manual Admissions or Placement Service
A university subscription provides access to LinkEdu.AI software and related SaaS functionality. It does not create an agency, brokerage, fiduciary, placement, or admissions-representation relationship between LinkEdu and the subscriber.
Unless LinkEdu expressly agrees otherwise in a separate written contract, LinkEdu does not manually recruit, place, negotiate for, or guarantee the admission or enrollment of students on behalf of universities.
17. Relationship to Other Policies
This Billing Policy should be read together with the LinkEdu.AI Terms of Service and Privacy Policy. Account suspension, termination, data retention, privacy rights, and acceptable use are governed by those policies as applicable.
18. Changes to This Policy
LinkEdu may update this Billing Policy from time to time. Material changes will be communicated as required by applicable law and through LinkEdu's versioned legal-document system. Where renewed acceptance is required, LinkEdu may request acceptance of the updated version before continued use of affected paid functionality.
Previous versions may be preserved as part of LinkEdu's legal, billing, and consent records.
