This Acceptable Use Policy ("AUP") governs use of LinkEdu.AI, including its websites, student and university portals, AI-assisted features, communications, APIs, integrations, and automated interactions (collectively, the "Platform"). It forms part of the LinkEdu.AI Terms of Service.
1. Purpose
This AUP is intended to protect students, universities, LinkEdu, third parties, and the integrity, security, and availability of an AI-enabled higher-education platform. It applies to all users and to any person or system accessing the Platform on a user's behalf.
LinkEdu.AI is an automation-first SaaS platform. LinkEdu may use software, deterministic rules, artificial intelligence, scheduled processes, monitoring, and other automated systems to operate routine workflows, detect misuse, enforce limits, and identify matters requiring exception-based human review.
2. Prohibited Conduct
Users must not use the Platform to engage in, facilitate, encourage, or attempt any of the following:
- Unauthorized scraping, crawling, harvesting, bulk downloading, bulk exporting, copying, aggregation, resale, or commercial exploitation of Platform data, student data, university data, or other protected content.
- Spam, unsolicited bulk messaging, harassment, stalking, threats, repeated unwanted contact, or communications that circumvent student preferences or Platform communication controls.
- Impersonation, fraudulent or misleading profiles, forged or altered documents, false institutional affiliation, unauthorized representation of a university, or deceptive admissions, scholarship, recruitment, accreditation, ranking, financial, or immigration claims.
- Unauthorized access to accounts, systems, databases, APIs, or data; credential sharing outside authorized team functionality; credential stuffing; vulnerability exploitation; malware; denial-of-service activity; or attempts to circumvent authentication, security controls, rate limits, usage limits, or access restrictions.
- Use of student information for unrelated advertising, resale, unauthorized profiling, discriminatory targeting, surveillance, or purposes outside legitimate educational, recruitment, admissions, enrollment, or other workflows authorized by the student, the Platform, and applicable law.
- Attempts to reverse engineer, decompile, disassemble, reproduce, or extract protected Platform components, private system prompts, credentials, security controls, proprietary matching logic, confidential model-routing information, or other non-public proprietary information, except to the extent such restriction is prohibited by applicable law.
- Use of AI or automated features to facilitate unlawful discrimination, fraud, deception, academic misconduct, harmful activity, privacy violations, impersonation, manipulation, or other unlawful conduct.
- Uploading, transmitting, or making available content or documents that infringe intellectual-property, privacy, confidentiality, publicity, contractual, or other rights.
- Submitting malicious instructions, files, prompts, or content intended to compromise, manipulate, evade, or disrupt AI systems, document-processing systems, security controls, or other Platform functionality.
- Using the Platform to violate applicable law, regulation, court order, sanctions requirement, or the rights of another person or organization.
3. Automation, Bots and API Use
Users may use automation only through functionality, APIs, integrations, or workflows expressly provided or authorized by LinkEdu.
Institutional users may not deploy external bots, scripts, browser automation, agents, or other systems that bypass Platform controls, evade usage restrictions, imitate unauthorized human activity, mass-contact students, or extract data beyond permitted functionality.
LinkEdu itself may automate routine operational functions, including matching, notifications, support, monitoring, fraud and abuse detection, workflow reminders, summaries, billing administration, and exception triage. LinkEdu's use of automation does not authorize users to circumvent Platform controls.
Where LinkEdu provides API access, users must comply with applicable API documentation, credentials, permissions, rate limits, data-use restrictions, and security requirements.
4. Content, Documents and Communications
Users are responsible for content and documents they submit and for communications they send through the Platform.
Content and communications must be lawful, relevant to permitted Platform purposes, accurate to the user's knowledge, and respectful of other users.
Students must not submit forged, altered, fraudulent, or materially misleading academic, identity, financial, recommendation, test, or application documents.
Universities and institutional users must not make materially false or misleading representations concerning admissions, eligibility, scholarships, financial aid, tuition, fees, accreditation, rankings, employment outcomes, visa or immigration outcomes, program availability, deadlines, or other material educational terms.
Users must not use LinkEdu.AI communications to evade a student's discoverability, invitation, email, unsubscribe, or other privacy preferences.
5. Student Data and University Responsibilities
Student information available through LinkEdu.AI may be used only for legitimate, authorized educational, recruitment, admissions, enrollment, student-support, or related institutional purposes.
Universities and their users must not sell student information, disclose it to unauthorized parties, use it for unrelated marketing, create unauthorized data sets or profiles, or use it for unlawful or discriminatory decision-making.
Institutional users must apply appropriate access controls and promptly remove access for team members who no longer require it.
Access to student information through LinkEdu does not relieve a university of its independent obligations under applicable privacy, education, communications, anti-discrimination, consumer-protection, or other laws.
6. AI-Specific Restrictions
AI-assisted features are provided for legitimate educational and Platform purposes. Users must not intentionally use them to generate, facilitate, or automate unlawful, fraudulent, deceptive, discriminatory, abusive, or privacy-invasive activity.
Users must not represent AI-generated matching, admission probabilities, competitiveness labels, summaries, drafts, or recommendations as official LinkEdu or university decisions when they are not.
Where a feature is designated Review Before Send, the responsible institutional user must review and approve the communication before external transmission and must not attempt to bypass that safeguard.
Users may provide good-faith feedback about AI outputs, including reports of errors, bias, unsafe behavior, or security concerns. This AUP does not prohibit legitimate security research, criticism, interoperability activity, or other conduct that cannot lawfully be restricted.
7. Security and Responsible Reporting
Users who discover a suspected security vulnerability, privacy issue, exposed credential, unauthorized access, or other security concern should report it promptly to admin@linkedu.ai and must not exploit the issue, access data beyond what is reasonably necessary to demonstrate the concern, disrupt the Platform, or publicly disclose sensitive details in a manner that creates avoidable risk.
LinkEdu may preserve relevant logs, evidence, account information, and security records as reasonably necessary to investigate and respond to suspected misuse or security incidents.
8. Enforcement
LinkEdu may use automated and manual controls to detect and respond to suspected violations. Depending on severity, context, recurrence, and risk, LinkEdu may issue a warning, rate-limit activity, block content, restrict a feature, require verification, revoke API or team access, suspend an account, terminate access, preserve evidence, or take other proportionate protective action.
LinkEdu may act immediately, without prior notice, where reasonably necessary to address a security threat, fraud, unlawful conduct, serious misuse of student data, risk to other users, abuse of Platform infrastructure, or another urgent threat to Platform integrity.
Where appropriate and where not prohibited by law or security considerations, LinkEdu may provide notice of an enforcement action and an opportunity to correct the issue or request review.
Enforcement decisions may be assisted by automated systems, but material account restrictions may be escalated for human review where appropriate.
9. Review and Appeals
A user who believes an enforcement action was taken in error may request review by contacting admin@linkedu.ai and providing sufficient information to identify the account and disputed action.
LinkEdu may require identity, authority, or institutional verification before reviewing a request. LinkEdu may decline repetitive, abusive, fraudulent, or legally prohibited requests.
Nothing in this section limits any non-waivable rights available under applicable law.
10. Reporting Misuse
Suspected abuse, fraud, unauthorized use of student information, impersonation, security concerns, harmful content, or other violations of this AUP may be reported to admin@linkedu.ai.
For urgent threats involving personal safety or suspected criminal conduct, users should also contact the appropriate emergency service or law-enforcement authority where appropriate.
11. Changes to This Policy
LinkEdu may update this AUP to reflect changes in Platform functionality, security practices, abuse patterns, legal requirements, or operational safeguards.
Material changes will be communicated where required by applicable law or contract. Previous versions may be retained as part of LinkEdu's versioned legal and consent records.
