These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern access to and use of LinkEdu.AI, including its websites, applications, APIs, student and university portals, AI-powered features, communications, and related services (collectively, the "Platform"). By creating an account, accessing or using the Platform, or purchasing a university subscription, you agree to these Terms and to the policies incorporated by reference. If you do not agree, you must not use the Platform.
The Platform is operated by LinkEdu, a company organized in the Commonwealth of Virginia, United States ("LinkEdu," "LinkEdu.AI," "we," "us," or "our").
1. What LinkEdu.AI Is
LinkEdu.AI is an AI-powered, self-service software-as-a-service platform that connects prospective students with universities and supports educational discovery, program matching, invitations, application workflows, communications, analytics, and university recruitment operations.
The Platform is designed so that routine functions may be performed automatically through software, deterministic rules, scheduled processes, and artificial intelligence. These functions may include matching, onboarding, support responses, notifications, monitoring, summaries, recommendations, workflow reminders, billing administration, and other operational tasks. Exceptional, sensitive, security-related, legal, billing, or otherwise unresolved matters may be escalated for human review.
LinkEdu.AI is not a university, college, admissions authority, admissions or student-placement agency, immigration adviser, law firm, financial adviser, licensed educational counselor, or guarantor of any educational outcome. Unless LinkEdu expressly agrees otherwise in a separate written agreement, LinkEdu does not represent students or universities in admissions decisions, manually place students, negotiate admission decisions, or act as an admissions agent.
2. Eligibility and Authority
The Platform is intended primarily for prospective higher-education students and authorized representatives of universities and other eligible educational institutions.
Users must be at least 16 years old, or older where required by applicable law. A user who is under the age of legal majority in their jurisdiction may use the Platform only with any parent or guardian authorization required by applicable law.
A person creating, claiming, administering, or using a university account represents and warrants that they are authorized to act for that institution and to provide the institutional information submitted to LinkEdu.AI.
LinkEdu may request verification of age, identity, institutional affiliation, authority, email address, or other account information where reasonably necessary for security, legal compliance, or Platform integrity.
3. Accounts and Security
Users must:
- provide accurate, complete, and current information;
- maintain the confidentiality of account credentials;
- use available account-security features;
- not share personal accounts except through authorized team functionality;
- promptly notify LinkEdu of suspected unauthorized access or account compromise; and
- keep institutional user access limited to personnel who are authorized to use it.
LinkEdu may require account, email, institution, role, or authority verification before enabling certain features. Automated security, fraud, abuse, and integrity systems may temporarily restrict activity while suspicious or unusual behavior is reviewed.
4. Student Access - 100% Free
Student access to LinkEdu.AI is free. LinkEdu does not charge students subscription fees, application-placement fees, enrollment commissions, success fees, or fees for unlocking student Platform features.
LinkEdu may apply reasonable technical, security, rate, abuse-prevention, or capacity controls to maintain service availability, prevent misuse, and control infrastructure or AI costs. Such controls do not create a paid student tier.
LinkEdu may modify, improve, replace, suspend, or discontinue individual student features, provided that LinkEdu does not convert student access into a paid subscription model without updating these Terms and providing appropriate notice.
5. University SaaS Subscriptions
Universities may use a Free plan or purchase paid SaaS subscriptions. Current subscription plans, features, usage limits, billing cycles, and prices are displayed on the Platform or during checkout. The Subscription and Billing Policy forms part of these Terms.
University subscription fees are payments for access to LinkEdu.AI software, automation, recruitment tools, analytics, messaging, workflows, and related SaaS functionality. University subscriptions do not constitute payment for student enrollments, admission outcomes, student referrals, enrollment commissions, preferential treatment in matching, guaranteed applicant volume, or guaranteed recruitment results.
LinkEdu may change future plan structures or prices subject to applicable law and any contractual or notice commitments applicable to existing subscribers.
6. AI, Matching, and Automated Features
LinkEdu.AI uses a combination of deterministic rules, evidence-based scoring, statistical methods, automation, and third-party or proprietary artificial intelligence systems.
These systems may assist with program and university matching; academic, financial, preference, scholarship, or other fit analysis; evidence-gated admission probability or competitiveness classifications; explanations and summaries; document extraction and structured data preparation; student and university support; candidate prioritization; application and pipeline reminders; draft communications; recruitment assistance; operational monitoring; and workflow automation.
Where a feature is designated Review Before Send, the responsible university user must review and approve the communication before it is sent. LinkEdu does not authorize autonomous recruitment outreach where the Platform requires user approval.
AI outputs are informational and assistive. They may be incomplete, inaccurate, outdated, inconsistent, or affected by incomplete user or university data. LinkEdu does not guarantee that AI or automated outputs are correct, unbiased, complete, or suitable as the sole basis for any material decision.
Where sufficient verified evidence is unavailable, LinkEdu may display qualitative labels, confidence indicators, or insufficient-data notices rather than numerical probabilities.
Final decisions concerning admission, scholarships, enrollment, academic eligibility, financial aid, and other institutional matters remain solely with the relevant university or responsible institution.
7. University Responsibilities
Universities and their authorized users must:
- use student information only for legitimate recruitment, admissions, enrollment, student-support, or related institutional purposes authorized by the Platform and applicable law;
- respect student privacy, discoverability, invitation, communication, and email preferences;
- not scrape, export, sell, repurpose, or improperly use student information;
- not contact students outside permitted workflows without an appropriate lawful basis;
- maintain accurate institutional, program, tuition, scholarship, deadline, intake, eligibility, and other information provided to LinkEdu;
- independently make all admission, scholarship, enrollment, and institutional decisions;
- not represent LinkEdu AI outputs as university decisions;
- maintain appropriate access controls over university accounts;
- promptly revoke team access when no longer required; and
- comply with applicable privacy, education, communications, discrimination, consumer-protection, and other laws.
8. Student Responsibilities
Students must:
- provide accurate academic, profile, identity, and preference information;
- upload only documents they are authorized to provide;
- not submit forged, altered, fraudulent, or misleading documents;
- independently verify material information before acting on it;
- confirm admission requirements, application deadlines, tuition, scholarships, accreditation, visa requirements, and other important matters directly with authoritative sources;
- use Platform communications lawfully and respectfully; and
- comply with the Acceptable Use Policy.
9. Discoverability, Invitations, and Communications
Students control, through available Platform settings, whether universities may discover limited profile information, send invitations, and use permitted invitation-related email channels. LinkEdu and universities must respect these preferences as enforced by the Platform.
LinkEdu may send communications reasonably necessary to operate the service, including account and security notices, email verification and password-reset messages, privacy and legal notices, application or invitation-related transactional communications, billing and subscription notices, and important Platform-service communications.
Optional engagement or promotional communications are subject to applicable preferences, unsubscribe mechanisms, and applicable law. Because LinkEdu operates as an automation-first SaaS service, routine communications may be generated, scheduled, or delivered automatically.
10. Uploaded Content and Documents
Users retain ownership of content and documents they submit.
Users grant LinkEdu a non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free license to host, copy, process, transform, extract information from, transmit, and display submitted content only as reasonably necessary to provide requested Platform functionality; perform matching or application workflows; enable authorized university interactions; operate and secure the Platform; prevent fraud or abuse; comply with legal obligations; and maintain or improve the service.
Users must not upload information or documents they do not have the legal right or authority to provide. Additional document-processing disclosures or acknowledgments may be presented when documents are uploaded or processed.
11. Acceptable Use
The Acceptable Use Policy is incorporated into these Terms.
LinkEdu may use automated or manual controls to rate-limit, restrict, suspend, or terminate access where reasonably necessary to protect users, universities, Platform security, privacy, legal compliance, service availability, data integrity, or third-party rights.
12. Third-Party Services
LinkEdu relies on third-party infrastructure and service providers for functions including cloud hosting, databases, payments, email delivery, monitoring, analytics, authentication, and AI processing. Material categories and providers are described in the Privacy Policy.
Third-party outages, restrictions, policy changes, service limitations, or other events may affect Platform availability or functionality. LinkEdu may replace service providers or AI models without materially changing these Terms, provided that applicable privacy and legal obligations continue to be satisfied.
13. Intellectual Property
LinkEdu owns or licenses the Platform's software, interfaces, workflows, algorithms, models, documentation, trademarks, branding, databases, and other proprietary materials.
Except where expressly permitted by these Terms or applicable law, users may not copy or reproduce protected Platform components, reverse engineer protected systems, resell or sublicense Platform access, systematically extract Platform data, or create derivative commercial services from protected Platform functionality.
Nothing in these Terms transfers ownership of user-submitted content to LinkEdu.
14. Suspension, Termination, and Account Closure
Users may stop using the Platform at any time.
LinkEdu may suspend, restrict, or terminate access for reasons including material breach of these Terms, fraud, abuse, security risk, unlawful conduct, misuse of student data, unauthorized automation, nonpayment of university subscription fees, or activity that materially threatens Platform integrity.
Where appropriate and required by law, LinkEdu may provide notice and an opportunity to cure or appeal.
Account deletion, recovery periods, export rights, anonymization, and retention are governed by the Privacy Policy. Deletion does not require LinkEdu to erase records that must reasonably be retained for legal, security, billing, fraud-prevention, dispute-resolution, or audit purposes.
15. No Professional Advice and No Guarantees
LinkEdu.AI provides technology and informational tools. The Platform does not provide legal, immigration, financial, or licensed professional advice.
TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, LINKEDU DOES NOT GUARANTEE admission to any institution or program; enrollment; scholarships or financial aid; visa or immigration approval; application success; program availability; admission probabilities; recruitment outcomes; response rates; or the accuracy or completeness of university, student, AI-generated, or third-party information.
Users must independently verify information before making material decisions.
16. Disclaimer of Warranties
TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY APPLICABLE LAW, THE PLATFORM IS PROVIDED "AS IS" AND "AS AVAILABLE."
LINKEDU DISCLAIMS WARRANTIES, WHETHER EXPRESS, IMPLIED, OR STATUTORY, INCLUDING WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, NON-INFRINGEMENT, ACCURACY, AVAILABILITY, SECURITY, AND RESULTS.
LinkEdu does not warrant uninterrupted service or that every error, interruption, security issue, third-party failure, or AI limitation can be prevented.
17. Limitation of Liability
TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY APPLICABLE LAW, LINKEDU WILL NOT BE LIABLE FOR INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, EXEMPLARY, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES, OR FOR LOSS OF PROFITS, REVENUE, DATA, GOODWILL, BUSINESS OPPORTUNITY, OR EXPECTED EDUCATIONAL OR RECRUITMENT OUTCOMES.
TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, LINKEDU'S TOTAL AGGREGATE LIABILITY ARISING FROM OR RELATING TO THE PLATFORM WILL NOT EXCEED THE GREATER OF: (A) the amount paid by the claimant to LinkEdu for the relevant service during the twelve months preceding the event giving rise to the claim; or (B) USD 100.
Nothing in these Terms limits liability that cannot lawfully be limited or excluded.
18. Indemnification
To the extent permitted by law, universities and institutional users agree to defend, indemnify, and hold harmless LinkEdu and its officers, directors, employees, contractors, and agents from third-party claims arising from unlawful or unauthorized use of student information, institutional content, admissions or recruitment practices, infringement of third-party rights, violation of applicable law, or material breach of these Terms.
Individual students are responsible for their own violations of these Terms but are not required to provide indemnification to the extent prohibited or limited by applicable consumer law.
19. Governing Law and Dispute Resolution
Subject to any non-waivable rights under applicable law, these Terms are governed by the laws of the Commonwealth of Virginia, United States, without regard to conflict-of-law principles.
Before initiating formal proceedings, a party must provide written notice of the dispute and allow at least 30 days for good-faith informal resolution.
Unless applicable law requires otherwise, any action arising out of or relating to these Terms or the Platform must be brought in the state or federal courts located in the Commonwealth of Virginia, and each party consents to the jurisdiction of those courts.
Any mandatory rights or remedies available to consumers or users under applicable law are preserved.
20. Changes to These Terms
LinkEdu may update these Terms from time to time. Material changes will be communicated as required by applicable law and through LinkEdu's versioned legal-document system.
Where renewed acceptance is required, users may be asked to review and accept the updated version before continuing to use affected Platform functions. Previous versions may be preserved for audit, compliance, and legal-record purposes.

These Terms should be read together with, and where applicable incorporate by reference, LinkEdu's then-current:
- Privacy Policy;
- Cookie Policy;
- AI Use and Transparency Policy;
- Subscription and Billing Policy;
- Acceptable Use Policy;
- Upload and Document Processing Acknowledgment; and
- any additional notices or terms presented for specific Platform features.
If a specific policy expressly conflicts with these Terms on a matter that policy specifically governs, the more specific policy controls for that matter, subject to applicable law.
