This Cookie and Similar Technologies Policy explains how LinkEdu ("LinkEdu," "LinkEdu.AI," "we," "us," or "our") uses cookies, local storage, pixels, analytics technologies, software development kits ("SDKs"), and similar technologies when you access or use LinkEdu.AI (the "Platform").
This Policy should be read together with our Privacy Policy and Terms of Service.
1. What These Technologies Are
Cookies and similar technologies allow websites and applications to store or access information on a user's device or browser.
LinkEdu.AI may use cookies, local storage, pixels, SDKs, server-side events, and similar technologies to authenticate users, maintain sessions, protect accounts, remember preferences, process payments, measure service performance, diagnose errors, understand Platform usage, and improve the user experience.
Some technologies are necessary for the Platform to operate. Others are optional and are used only in accordance with the choices presented to you and applicable law.
2. Necessary Technologies
LinkEdu.AI uses necessary technologies to provide and protect the Platform.
- account authentication and secure sessions;
- email verification and account recovery;
- security and fraud prevention;
- abuse detection and rate limiting;
- load balancing and service availability;
- storage of privacy and cookie preferences;
- preservation of user-requested interface or service settings;
- subscription and payment functionality initiated by university users; and
- other functionality required to provide services requested by the user.
Where permitted by applicable law, necessary technologies operate without optional consent because they are required to provide, secure, or maintain the requested service.
Disabling or blocking necessary technologies through browser or device settings may prevent parts of LinkEdu.AI from functioning correctly.
3. Analytics Technologies
LinkEdu may use analytics technologies, including Google Analytics where enabled, to understand how users interact with the Platform.
- pages or features used;
- navigation and interaction patterns;
- general usage trends;
- performance information;
- approximate device or browser characteristics; and
- aggregated Platform engagement.
Where consent is required by applicable law, optional analytics technologies will not be activated unless the user provides the required consent.
Rejecting optional analytics does not prevent access to the core functionality of LinkEdu.AI.
4. Error Monitoring and Session Replay
LinkEdu uses monitoring technologies to maintain reliability, diagnose errors, identify security or performance problems, and protect Platform operations.
Sentry or similar services may be used for error and performance monitoring. Essential error and security telemetry may operate where reasonably necessary to maintain and secure the Platform and where permitted by law.
LinkEdu may also use session-replay functionality to understand technical or usability problems. Where session replay is classified as optional or requires consent under applicable law, it will only operate after the required consent has been provided.
LinkEdu configures monitoring systems with controls intended to minimize unnecessary collection of personal information.
5. Email Technologies
LinkEdu uses Resend or similar email-delivery providers to send account, security, verification, invitation, application, subscription, service, and permitted engagement communications.
Email systems may generate essential delivery information such as whether an email was accepted, delivered, bounced, rejected, or otherwise failed.
LinkEdu may also have the technical ability to measure email opens or link clicks. Nonessential open or click tracking will be used only where consistent with applicable notice, consent, and user-preference requirements.
Users may unsubscribe from optional engagement or promotional communications through available unsubscribe mechanisms. Necessary account, security, legal, transactional, or service communications may still be sent where appropriate.
6. Payment Technologies
University subscriptions are processed using Stripe.
When a university user accesses checkout, billing-management, or related payment functionality, Stripe may use cookies and similar technologies for payment processing, authentication, fraud prevention, security, and regulatory compliance.
LinkEdu does not store full payment-card information on its own servers.
Stripe's own privacy and cookie notices may apply to its processing.
7. Infrastructure, Security and Authentication Providers
LinkEdu.AI relies on infrastructure and service providers that may use cookies or similar technologies when necessary to provide their functionality.
- content delivery and security, including Cloudflare;
- authentication, including Google authentication where selected by the user;
- payment processing, including Stripe;
- monitoring and diagnostics, including Sentry;
- analytics, including Google Analytics where enabled; and
- other infrastructure necessary to operate and secure LinkEdu.AI.
The providers used by LinkEdu may change as the Platform evolves. Material data-processing providers are described in the Privacy Policy or related privacy disclosures.
8. Your Choices
Where required or provided by the Platform, LinkEdu.AI offers controls such as:
- Accept All - permits necessary technologies and the optional technologies described in the consent interface.
- Reject Optional - permits necessary technologies while declining optional technologies.
- Manage Preferences - allows users to review or change available optional technology choices.
Rejecting optional technologies will not prevent access to core Platform functionality.
Users may change available optional preferences later through the Platform's privacy or cookie controls.
Withdrawing consent does not affect processing that occurred lawfully before consent was withdrawn.
9. Browser and Device Controls
Most browsers allow users to view, delete, restrict, or block cookies and certain other storage technologies.
Users may use these browser or device controls in addition to the controls provided by LinkEdu.AI.
Blocking necessary cookies or local storage may interfere with authentication, account access, preferences, payments, or other Platform functionality.
Browser-based privacy signals will be handled as required by applicable law and where technically applicable to the relevant processing.
10. Do Not Sell or Share Personal Data for Targeted Advertising
LinkEdu.AI's current business model does not involve selling personal data.
LinkEdu also does not use personal data for third-party targeted advertising as part of its current business model.
If these practices materially change in the future, LinkEdu will update its privacy disclosures and implement any choices required by applicable law before introducing such processing.
11. Data Retention
Information generated through cookies and similar technologies is retained only for periods reasonably necessary for the relevant operational, security, analytics, legal, or service purpose, subject to provider configurations and applicable law.
Where LinkEdu controls retention settings, it seeks to limit retention to what is reasonably necessary for the stated purpose.
Additional information regarding data retention, account deletion, and user privacy rights is available in the LinkEdu.AI Privacy Policy.
12. International Processing
Some technology and service providers used by LinkEdu operate internationally. Information generated through cookies or similar technologies may therefore be processed in the United States or other countries where those providers operate.
International data processing and transfers are addressed further in the Privacy Policy.
13. Changes to This Policy
LinkEdu may update this Policy to reflect changes in Platform functionality, technologies, providers, legal requirements, or privacy practices.
Material changes will be communicated where required by applicable law.
Where a change requires renewed consent, LinkEdu will request that consent through the Platform before activating the relevant optional technology.
Previous versions may be retained as part of LinkEdu's legal and consent records.
