How we count

Monthly allowances reset on your own billing anniversary — the day your subscription renews (or, on Free, the day you signed up). Unlimited entitlements have no plan cap and never apply to an AI feature. Anti-abuse guards still apply: invitation cool-down, per-student frequency and burst caps, API rate limits and AI budget caps.

Full student profile view: Full profile view: the FIRST open of a student's full (identified) profile inside the billing month. Re-opening the same student in that month does not count. Anonymised previews never count.
Outbound first-contact message: Outbound first-contact message: the first message a university sends to a student who has not contacted it, expressed interest, accepted an invitation, or applied.
Conversational reply: Conversational reply: a message to a student who started the conversation, expressed interest, accepted an invitation or applied (outside an application thread). Unlimited on Growth and Pro; not included on Free.
Application-thread message: Application-thread message: a message inside one application's own thread. Included on every plan, including Free, and never limited.
Application decision: Application decision: view an application, accept, reject, request documents, issue an offer. Never limited on any plan.
AI student summary: AI student summary: one AI-generated summary of one student, cached for 30 days — re-viewing the cached summary does not count. Free summarises anonymised cards only.
AI campaign generation: AI campaign generation: one AI-generated campaign draft. Editing an existing draft does not count.
AI Recruitment Agent action: AI Recruitment Agent action: one application screened, one personalised outreach sequence created, or one drafted reply generated. Each action is logged with its type.
campaign recipients month: Campaign recipient: one student enrolled into one campaign activation. A campaign sent to 500 students consumes 1 campaign and 500 campaign recipients. Recipients are counted per activation, so re-activating a campaign for a new audience counts those recipients again.
Basic campaign: Basic campaign: one campaign activated in the billing month. Re-activating the same campaign in the same month does not count again.
API call: API call: one authenticated request to the public API with a Pro API key.
Invitation: Invitation: one invitation created for one student. Re-sending the same student+programme invitation does not count again.
Active programs: Programmes visible to students. Over the cap a programme can still be saved as an inactive draft; activating it is blocked until the plan allows it.
Team members: Active `university_users` links. Over the cap, existing members keep their data and lose access only after an admin chooses who stays — nothing is deleted.
Match previews (Free): Free: anonymised student preview cards — nationality region, qualification band, field, budget range, target intake, fit class and match reasoning. Name, photo, contact details, documents, exact scores and free-text bio are hidden. Fewer than 5 students in a filter combination shows only the count.
Match scores (Growth+): Growth+: the AI overall match score and its component scores (academic / financial / preference / scholarship fit) plus confidence, on every student card.
Basic analytics: All plans: counts and trends the university already owns — profile/programme views, invitations sent and answered, applications received by status.
Enrollment analytics: Growth+: the conversion funnel (match → invitation → application → offer → enrolment) with period comparison, top programmes and source countries.
Advanced analytics: Pro: cohort and segment analytics, yield and ROI panels, benchmark insights and custom date ranges.
Advanced search filters: Growth+: filtering and sorting student discovery by minimum GPA, minimum English score, maximum budget, scholarship need, minimum match score and engagement level. Free keeps country / degree level / field.
Advanced segmentation: Pro: saved multi-criteria audience segments reusable across campaigns, outreach and exports.
Scholarship targeting: Growth+: filter and target students by scholarship need and attach scholarships to invitations and applications.
Automated outreach: Pro: campaigns that send automatic follow-up steps on a schedule (more than one step, or any step with a day offset). A single-send campaign is a Growth basic campaign.
Priority support: Pro: support requests are queued ahead of other plans (priority=high) with a 1-business-day first-response target. Free and Growth are the normal queue with a 3-business-day target. Operational, not a product surface.
Demand dashboard: All plans: the institution's real demand — matched students, profile appearances, programme views, shortlists and interest signals, computed from its own records.
Locked interest inbox (Free): Free: students who expressed interest appear as a count and a blurred list. Identities unlock on Growth.
Institutional verification: Institutional verification is free on every plan and never depends on payment.
Add-on packs: Growth and Pro can buy one-time add-on packs that top up a metered allowance until the end of the current billing period.

How the plans work

What counts as one student profile view?

The first time you reveal one student in a calendar month. Opening the same student again that month is free, and anonymised preview cards never count.

What happens when I reach a monthly limit?

The action is blocked in the app and in the API with a clear message — nothing you already created is affected. You can buy a one-time add-on pack to keep going, or upgrade. Allowances reset on your own billing anniversary.

What happens if I downgrade?

The change applies at the end of your current billing period and nothing is ever deleted. Programs over the new cap become drafts (most recently updated stay active), extra team members lose access until you choose who keeps a seat, running campaigns are paused and API keys are disabled. We e-mail you 7 days and 1 day before, listing exactly what will be affected.

How does cancellation work?

Cancel yourself in Team & Billing. You keep every paid feature until the end of the period you already paid for, and you can reactivate before that date with no new charge. After it ends, the account moves to Free and your data stays.

Are applications ever behind a paywall?

No. Receiving and answering applications — accept, reject, request documents — is included on every plan, including Free, and is never metered.

Do students ever pay?

Never. Students use LinkEdu.AI free forever, and a university's plan never changes how students are matched, ranked or shown.

Can I change plans later?

Yes — you manage it yourself in Team & Billing. Upgrades take effect immediately (Stripe invoices the prorated difference right away); downgrades and cancellations take effect at the end of your current billing period.

Do you charge enrollment commissions?

No. LinkEdu.AI charges a subscription only. What you recruit is yours.
